Planning your wedding can be stressful, but with our tips we hope to make it just that bit easier.
Tip 1 – Picking the perfect venue
Visit your venue at night, make sure you still love it when the daylight is no longer lingering
Tip 2 – Colour Scheme
Why not go with the famous Berry Reds and Natural Greens and maybe add some sparkle with Silver or Gold.
Tip 3 – Wedding dress
White or Ivory with some added Beading would look gorgeous in Winter time. Long sleeves might be essential for the winter nights
Tip 4 – Bridal Party dresses/Suits
Rich Warm coloured dresses with added sparkle. Wool 3 piece suits to keep the men nice and warm. Why not add fur coats or cover ups for the bridesmaids for that added warmth?
Tip 5 – Menu
Picking your menu is easy – Start with a warm bowl of hearty Soup with Fresh Baked Bread, followed by a slow braised Beef with Roast Potatoes, Seasonal Greens and a Rich Beef Jus and for pudding Sticky Toffee Pudding with Ice Cream. For your evening food why not opt for something like a Hog Roast or warm Bacon Butties.
Tip 6 – Flowers
When Picking your flowers keep your colour scheme in mind but also ensure you pick seasonal flowers to ensure you keep to your budget. Whites, Reds, winter flowers?
Tip 7 – Setting
Winter brings those darker nights earlier, why not embrace that and add lots of candles to brighten your special day up? Fairy lights can be hung to add that extra sparkle.
Tip 8 – Wedding favours
Mini bottles of Baileys, Chocolate Reindeer’s, Crackers, Sparklers, Gingerbread.
Tip 9 – Keep your guests warm
Ensuring your guests are warm is essential! Why not add basket of blankets for your guests to help themselves to? Adding a hot mulled wine and hot chocolate stand can be a great idea or maybe even giving your guests a hot drink when they arrive. Why not see if your venue has a fire that can be lit?
Tip 10 – Invites
Make sure you send your invites out early to ensure your guests have plenty of time to prepare.
