Samuel James Events Recipe: Pink Lemonade
We hear it’s going to nice weather this weekend, so here’s a little cooler while you’re sunbathing!
This is defiantly one of the best summer time drinks! Sharp, tangy and sweet all at the same time make this drink the perfect summer cooler.
Pink lemonade doesn’t really make any sense. Lemons are yellow, yet this lemon based drink is pink? Yet, add in some fresh raspberries and hey presto you’ve got pink lemonade.
How’d you make it we hear you scream! We’ll here you go.
Ingredients:
300g Caster Sugar
2 Sliced Lemons
1 Sliced Orange
500g Fresh Raspberries
350ml Cold Water
Sparkling Water, Ice and Mint to Serve
Method:
Place all the ingredients into a pan and bring to the boil.
Turn down the heat to low and cook for 5 minutes.
Take off the heat and leave to cool.
When cool, push through a sieve and you’ll be left with thick syrup.
To serve, simply add desired amount of syrup to a glass, fill with ice, add a sprig of mint and top up with sparkling water.
P.s. The syrup will keep for about a week in the fridge.
